The Bay Restaurant located right in the middle of the Whitefish Bay Downtown Business District has started it's own history in the building that was first constructed in 1955 to be a liquor store for Clarence and Sylvia Schallert. The building was an expansion of Clarence Schallert’s existing career as a wholesale liquor salesman. The Schallerts were granted the first liquor license in the village’s history to open their store.
Enjoy some of the best dishes served in Whitefish Bay in a warm and inviting neighborhood hangout. Open brick and dark original hardwoods set the tone for a deep, well versed wine list and craft brew selection that goes beyond your everyday amber selections.
The Bay's appetizers will tempt your palette with savory Salmon Cakes complemented with a one of a kind homemade remoulade. Or try the Jordan River dates stuffed with a combination of chorizo, crumbled smoked bacon, Wisconsin goat cheese fondue, and topped with blueberry puree.
In a world where restaurants go for quantity, trying to make the "giant burger", they often fall short on flavor. The Bay's hamburgers are made perfectly sized with a multiplier of quality created with fresh ingredients and just the right combination of toppings creating an experience you will want to come back for again and again. All burgers are hand pattied with fresh ground beef from our neighborhood Sendik's.
